Through dynamic teaching and the personal testimonies of women who have walked in their shoes, this 12-week curriculum helps expecting mothers find a place of hope and belonging. At Family Promise of Warren County we recognize that poverty is a complex problem that requires a multifaceted response. We respond by integrating educational outreach, smart programming, effective policies, and the hands-on work of thousands of volunteers. We provide food, support services, and transitional housing for families experiencing homelessness. We provide advice and advocacy for at-risk families to prevent their becoming homeless, and we educate people about poverty and the means to combat it.

MomsHope provides hope to single, low income moms through one-on-one faith-based mentoring in order to support their resource development, personal advancement, spiritual growth and family stability.

Often, we seek to repurpose older buildings, which frequently leads to further economic development in the surrounding areas. However, we don’t stop there. We build communities AND we build people. We help people get back on their feet if they are homeless; help them recover if they are addicted; and, help them remain stable if they are living with mental illness or developmental disabilities.
For fifty years, PWC has been strengthening our communities by providing critical home repairs, energy conservation, and accessibility modification services in an effort to help residents remain independent and healthy in their homes. PWC proudly performs more than 8,000 services for eligible homeowners each year, whose typical income is just $14,000 a year. Often, these individuals face challenges due to illness, disability, job loss or other circumstances. PWC is supported by a robust group of more than 110 licensed, professionally trained staff members and administrative personnel. In addition, PWC boasts a dedicated corps of 3,500-plus volunteers making it one of the largest volunteer corps in the region. Together, PWC volunteers and skilled staff are in more than 4,500 homes annually assisting nearly 9,000 individuals in southwestern Ohio, northern Kentucky and southeast Indiana.
Family & Community Services, Inc. (FCS) seeks to strengthen, empower and enrich the lives of individuals and families through a broad continuum of services. Family & Community Services, Inc. is a non-profit corporation headquartered in Portage County, Ohio. The agency began in 1941 as the Catholic Charities Bureau of the Ravenna Deanery with just two programs and two staff members. Today, FCS operates over 70 social service programs throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, providing a wide range of community support services that address homelessness and housing issues, transportation gaps, food insecurity, domestic violence, behavioral health and addiction, and gaps in care for youth, seniors, and veterans.

The Warren County Health District (WCHD) mission: Working to build healthy communities every day. WCHD is devoted to the prevention of disease and injury, the promotion of wellness and healthy living, and the protection of the public from communicable disease. WCHD offers multiple health clinics to ensure affordable, culturally-appropriate, high-quality health and wellness services. Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care Plans & Contracted Private Insurance accepted and a sliding fee scale by income for underinsured or individuals without insurance. In addition to health clinics, WCHD offers many other programs to assist families in health, safety, and wellness.
The Warren Metropolitan Housing Authority (WMHA) is a public nonprofit organization, funded by the United States Department of Housing & Urban Development to provide subsidized housing and resident initiative programs for eligible citizens of Warren County. The WMHA operates in accordance with the Federal Fair Housing Law. It is the policy of WMHA to house persons without regard to race, color, religion, sex, family status, handicap, or national origin.
The Waynesville Food Pantry and Wayne Township Community Aid is currently operating out of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. The Food Pantry provides basic non-perishable food items, as well as some paper, personal, and household products. Community Aid funds help with utility bills. We serve residents in Waynesville, Wayne Township, Corwin, Harveysburg, Lytle, and Oregonia. Please call the number below if you need help with food or utility bills.
